Job Summary
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
Skills and Experience required:
- Proven track record (10+ years) in senior roles within the Automotive Retail industry, such as General Manager or Dealer Principal
- Extensive international or emerging market experience, particularly in Africa
- Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating diverse teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of automotive market dynamics, including regulatory landscapes, customer preferences, and competition
- Ability to thrive in an expatriate environment
- Proficiency in financial management, including profit/loss analysis
Job
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all facets of automotive retail operations in Malawi, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and improve operational efficiency in Malawi
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
- Direct sales, marketing, and service teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve high performance
- Analyse market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, company policies, and industry standards
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, financial forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management
Salary breakdown:
$ 5500 nett salary per month plus housing, car, insurance, flights and quarterly incentives.
