About the Role
The Storeman role at our Johannesburg location requires an experienced individual to take control of all deliveries and issuing of equipment and materials, ensuring seamless inventory management and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing activities to monitor and maintain inventory control of merchandise or material, receiving of incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with documentation issued.
- Evaluation of inventory levels, identifying stock items and managing the replenishing hereof.
- Preparing an action plan together with the management team on reducing current warehouse stock.
- Ensuring the receiving process of all stock is managed and recorded and communicated to interested parties.
- Coordinating the packing of Project orders as per delivery notes, including exports requiring pre-shipment inspections and specialized packing.
- Communicating back to Project admin on stock and stock levels.
- Implementing general stock and stock levels.
- Establishing a storage location system within the warehouse for correct storage of stock and project material.
- Ensuring all shelving is labelled correctly and tied in with our SAP system or manual system if applicable.
- Conducting monthly reporting.
- Organizing weekly store meetings.
- Coordinating quarterly stock takes and providing feedback.
- Managing warehouse staff, implementing and monitoring individual KPIs.
