About the Role
The Storeman role at our company involves taking control of all deliveries and issuing of equipment and materials, ensuring seamless inventory management and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain inventory control of merchandise or material
- Receive and process incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with documentation issued
- Evaluate inventory levels, identify stock items, and manage replenishment
- Prepare an action plan to reduce current warehouse stock with the management team
- Manage the receiving process of all stock, record and communicate it to interested parties
- Coordinate packing of project orders as per delivery notes
- Implement pre-shipment inspections for exports and specialized packing when required
- Communicate stock updates to Project admin
- Implement a storage location system within the warehouse
- Ensure shelving is labelled correctly and ties in with SAP or manual systems
- Conduct monthly reporting
- Facilitate weekly store meetings
- Coordinate quarterly stock takes and gather feedback
- Manage warehouse staff, implement and monitor individual KPIs
