Senior PLC Software Engineer

As an experienced Software Engineer at our client, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of PLC software projects in the hydrogen industry. You will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions, ensuring the success of innovative industrial systems and infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include:

• Actively participating in the design and architecture process to build robust and secure PLC systems that meet client-specific requirements.
• Designing, developing, and implementing PLC software solutions for control, monitoring, and protection of industrial infrastructure.
• Identifying technical requirements and drafting detailed technical specifications for PLC systems.
• Reviewing PLC code and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Researching and evaluating new technologies and methodologies to improve the efficiency and reliability of systems.
• Collaborating with other teams, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, to develop integrated solutions for various industrial applications.
• Acting as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and support on PLC systems.

What You`re Bringing

You have extensive technical knowledge and expertise, which you share with your team. You determine the approach to tasks within projects, can clearly see the end goal, and know how to set priorities accordingly.
More requirements for this position:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or mechatronics.
• Extensive work experience as a PLC Software Engineer, Control System Engineer, Automation Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in software development, with a focus on PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Deep knowledge of PLC programming languages and platforms, such as Siemens PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and lead a team.
