Job Requirements
- Secondary Education:
- Grade 12
- Tertiary Education (including Diplomas, Certificates, and Degrees):
- Minimum N2 in Tool, Jig & Die trade theory and trade-tested (red seal), preferable
- Experience:
- 5 years’ relevant setting experience

Job
Responsibilities:
Technical
- Identify, report, and rectify technical concerns on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.)
- Understand product quality, processes (material feeding, drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, injection blow moulding), equipment, mould installation, technical principles, and drawings.
- Conduct fault analysis and problem-solving for product quality, mould, and machine issues (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric). Report other equipment problems to Maintenance & Production Managers.
Maintenance
- Develop and follow maintenance plans and checklists. Ensure maintenance is done by yourself or service suppliers and document it.
- Identify required spares for assigned equipment during maintenance checks.
Machine Setting
- Optimize production processes, machine performance, and cycle time. Adjust and document process settings.
Management
- Coordinate with Maintenance & Production Managers on machine availability and maintenance tasks. Maintain relationships with internal and external staff.
- Strive for improvement and make suggestions.
Administration
- Log performed jobs and analyze the Defect Register. Contact external suppliers for problem-solving.
- Manage spares inventory and assist with ordering. Plan and budget for maintenance.
Health & Safety
- Ensure health and safety standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and report hazards or incidents.
Quality
- Apply the company’s quality principles and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)
- Follow food safety standards, report hazards, and comply with GMPs in relation to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Self-Development, Growth, and Training
- Assess strengths and development areas, address weaknesses, and stay updated with technical improvements.
- Maintain teamwork, self-management, leadership, interpersonal relationships, and product and service quality.
