Job Summary
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- Valid Code 14 License and PDP.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Shunter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and yard operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Operate shunt trucks to move trailers and containers safely within the yard.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times during operations.
- Communicate effectively with yard personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers and containers.
- Report any issues, damages, or maintenance needs related to trailers and containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
