• Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Mining, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advantageous)

Requirements 

• Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Sound knowledge of crushing and screening equipment (e.g., jaw, cone, impact crushers; mobile and fixed plants).
• Familiarity with equipment from manufacturers like Metso, Sandvik, Terex, or similar

Duties 
Site & Production Management

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily crushing operations to meet production and quality targets.
• Monitor feed material, throughput, product size distribution, and plant efficiency.
• Ensure proper setup, operation, and adjustment of crushers, screens, conveyors, and associated equipment.
• Analyze production data and implement improvements to maximize output and reduce wear and tear.

Team Leadership

• Supervise a team of operators, technicians, and general workers.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure staff compliance with work procedures, safety regulations, and site rules.

Maintenance Coordination

• Schedule routine maintenance and coordinate breakdown repairs in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Ensure preventive maintenance plans are followed to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Conduct inspections and diagnose equipment issues when required.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Enforce site safety policies and ensure a zero-harm culture.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
• Ensure environmental management plans are followed, including dust suppression, noise control, and waste management.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Track equipment hours, fuel usage, material volumes, and downtime reasons.
• Maintain accurate logs of inspections, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Resource Management

• Manage the supply and quality of raw feedstock to the crusher.
• Ensure optimal usage of consumables like screen media, liners, and lubricants.
• Coordinate logistics and dispatch of crushed material when applicable.
