<p>A reputable <strong>beauty and lifestyle brand</strong> working in the <strong>Spa, Wellness and Hospitality</strong> sector is looking for a <strong>Social Media Manager</strong> based in Cape Town.</p><p>The <strong>Social Media Manager</strong> will collaborate with the <strong>lead graphic designer</strong> and <strong>marketing team</strong> to drive the <strong>brand's visual identity</strong> and <strong>strategy</strong> while overseeing <strong>creative output</strong> of the company. This role drives <strong>innovation</strong> across <strong>marketing, product development</strong> and <strong>brand communications</strong>, ensuring cohesive execution across all channels.</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><p><strong>Social Media Strategy & Planning:</strong></p><p>Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the brands identity, goals, and target audience.</p><p>Plan and maintain a content calendar for all social media platforms, ensuring consistency and relevance.</p><p>Define and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure engagement, growth, and conversions.</p><p><strong>Content Creation & Management:</strong></p><p>Create and oversee the production of high-quality, engaging, and visually appealing content, including images, videos, reels, carousels, and stories.</p><p>Collaborate with the graphic designer, photographers, and influencers to develop aesthetic and brand-aligned visuals.</p><p>Write compelling and informative captions, hashtags, and CTAs that resonate with the audience.</p><p><strong>Social Media Platform Management:</strong></p><p>Manage daily posting and interaction on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn</p><p>Optimize content for each platform based on algorithm changes, audience behaviour, and best practices.</p><p>Schedule and publish content using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Meta business suite).</p><p><strong>Community Engagement & Customer Interaction:</strong></p><p>Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.</p><p>Foster an online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and industry leaders.</p><p>Address customer concerns and provide solutions, ensuring a positive brand reputation.</p><p><strong>Influencer & Brand Collaboration:</strong></p><p>Identify and collaborate with beauty influencers, skincare experts, and wellness bloggers to expand brand reach.</p><p>Manage partnership agreements, content approvals, and influencer campaigns.</p><p>Track and analyse the performance of influencer collaborations to measure ROI.</p><p><strong>Paid Social Media Advertising:</strong></p><p>Plan and execute paid ad campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.</p><p>Optimize ad performance by A/B testing visuals, captions, and audience targeting.</p><p>Monitor ad spending and ensure a high return on investment (ROI).</p><p><strong>Analytics & Performance Reporting:</strong></p><p>Track and analyse social media metrics, including engagement rates, reach, impressions, click-through rates (CTR), and conversion rates.</p><p>Generate monthly reports with data-driven insights and recommendations.</p><p>Adjust strategies based on performance trends and audience feedback.</p><p><strong>Trend Monitoring & Innovation:</strong></p><p>Stay updated with the latest beauty industry trends, social media trends, and platform algorithm updates.</p><p>Experiment with new content formats such as live sessions, interactive polls, behind-the-scenes content, and encouraging UGC (User-Generated Content).</p><p>Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate the brand.</p><p><strong>Collaboration with Other Departments:</strong></p><p>Work closely with marketing, graphic design, product development, and PR teams to align social media efforts with brand campaigns.</p><p>Coordinate social media promotion for product launches, spa services, brand events, and promotions.</p><p>Support corporate branding initiatives, including CSR campaigns and sustainability efforts.</p><p><strong>Crisis Management & Brand Reputation:</strong></p><p>Manage social media crises by addressing negative comments, reviews, or controversies professionally.</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>Grade 12</p><p>A formal qualification in sales / marketing / digital marketing or similar</p><p>At least 5+ years experience managing various social media accounts luxury brands, wellness or hospitality</p><p>Able to show us the social media accounts that you have been managing in their interviews.</p><p>Be able to work in office full time for at least the first 3 months, whereafter it can be open to discussion for a hybrid working role.</p><p>Have a car and be able to drive around if necessary.</p><p>Good time management and organisation.</p><p>Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.</p><p>Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with an eye for storytelling and brand voice.</p><p>Preference will be given to candidates that have direct luxury spa, skincare and hospitality experience, managing these kinds of accounts for an extended period or consecutively with one another.</p><p>Experience with Content Creation Tools (Canva / CapCut / Hootsuite / Later / Sprout Social & Meta Business Suite)</p><p>Must be available and willing to have a weekly meeting with the marketing and communications department to present and explain the work completed and the work in progress, for the week prior.</p>
