Responsibilities:

Management of the transport department

• Provide leadership to the transport department
• Short and medium-term route planning
• Compiling of transport budgets
• Efficient management of all personnel within the department
• Implementation of effective fleet asset management systems
• Daily management and control of all transport-related expenses
• Responsible for the on-time completion of all required reports
• Timely communication to all role players (internal / external)

Management of Drivers and Runners

• Manage the commercial transport departments and all staff that fall within the transport department in your region
• Liaise with staff regarding collections
• Monitor the production of employees with regard to collections and deliveries
• Responsible for the efficient utilization of the fleet
• Managing fuel efficiencies (KM per litre)
• Maximizing collection efficiencies (KG per litre)
• Ensure drivers receive training on efficient and defensive driving skills
