About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and persuasive Telemarketer to join our sales team in the FMCG / Food Services industry. The successful candidate will focus on generating leads, promoting products, and securing sales through outbound and inbound calls. This role is key to building strong customer relationships, supporting field sales, and ensuring that our brand maintains a strong presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to new and existing customers to promote products and services.
- Introduce product ranges, promotions, and seasonal offerings to food service clients (restaurants, hotels, wholesalers, retailers).
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue.
- Follow up on leads, quotations, and pending orders to close sales.
- Processing catering equipment orders
- Participate in promotions to generate revenue for the business
- Maintain accurate records of all calls, leads, and customer interactions
- Assist in generating appointments for field sales representatives where necessary.
- Handle inbound calls, respond to customer queries, and process telephonic orders.
- Support marketing campaigns by engaging customers and promoting new launches.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call and sales targets.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, concerns, and market trends to the sales team.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Relevant certificate or diploma in Sales / Marketing (advantageous)
- 1–3 years’ experience in telemarketing, telesales, or inside sales (preferably in FMCG / food services).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Knowledge of FMCG and food service channels (advantageous).
