Job Summary

Position : Welding Inspector Location : Saudi Arabia Employment Type : Full-Time Overview We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure that all welding operations and procedures meet the required standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role is based in Saudi Arabia and requires an individual with extensive welding inspection knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality work. Key Responsibilities : Inspection of Welding Works Conduct inspections on welding activities to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and project requirements. Perform visual inspections, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and other testing methods to assess weld quality and integrity. Inspect welding procedures, techniques, and finished work to ensure conformance to drawings, codes, and specifications. Quality Control and Documentation : Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests conducted, and report findings to the project manager or senior leadership. Ensure proper documentation of welding activities, including weld maps, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Evaluate the materials and weld procedures used and verify their conformity to the approved procedures Compliance and Standards : Ensure that all welding work adheres to local regulations, international standards (such as ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.), and client requirements. Review and ensure compliance with the Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Identify any issues or deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions or improvements. Safety and Risk Management : Promote and enforce safe work practices in welding operations. Inspect work areas to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Participate in safety meetings and assist in hazard analysis and risk assessments. Collaboration and Reporting : Work closely with welding teams, engineers, and project managers to resolve any issues related to welding procedures and quality. Provide clear and concise reports to senior management regarding inspection results and quality status. Training and Development : Assist in training and mentoring junior welding inspectors or other team members as required. Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and welding techniques to enhance personal expertise and team performance. Qualifications : Education : Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent technical certifications in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent). Experience : Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Welding Inspector in industrial environments, with a focus on heavy fabrication or construction projects. Familiarity with relevant international welding standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO, etc.). Strong knowledge of NDT techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), and magnetic particle testing (MT). Skills and Competencies : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (Arabic language proficiency is a plus). Ability to interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in using welding inspection tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications : CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (preferred). AWS-CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or equivalent (preferred). NDT Level II certification (preferred). Personal Attributes : Strong commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Working Conditions : The role may require work in both office and field environments, including exposure to construction or manufacturing sites. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety guidelines. Flexibility in working hours may be required, including occasional travel to job sites. How to Apply :
