Mechanic/Driver Position Available Kuzuko is a Private Game Reserve and Five Star Lodge in the Eastern Cape. Kuzuko was established as a social enterprise with the aim of creating jobs in an area of high unemployment whilst also rewilding and restoring the land. Social upliftment is a key part of the Kuzuko’s mission statement and Kuzuko is looking to employ team members that share this vision. Kuzuko is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing team player who would be interested in joining the team as a Mechanic/Driver. Workshop Mechanic and Driver: This is a mixed position that will be based predominantly at the workshop with additional driving duties a couple of days per week. Your duties will include: · To execute repairs and maintenance to all company vehicles and machinery including, predominantly Toyota vehicles · Conducting weekly checks on all company vehicles · Assisting with break downs in the game reserve · Working hand in hand with Workshop Manager · Reporting of all checks done, issues found and work completed · Assisting with the management of stock items and following of correct stock procedures · Maintain company tools in a safe and efficient condition · Keeping the workshop space clean and tidy · Ensuring the backup generators are fueled and maintained · Drive staff trips to Port Elizabeth and Somerset East · Driving of stock runs to Port Elizabeth · Additional duties as and when required · Participate in standby/call-out duties Requirements: · 3-5 years of experience as a Code 10 Driver including on gravel roads · A valid driver’s license with a PDP and a clean driving record · Excellent mechanical knowledge – mechanical qualifications desirable · Able to follow policies and procedures · Ability to work well as part of a team · Positive working attitude · Excellent time keeping · Maintains a clean and tidy workspace · Excellent communication skills Due to the high volume of applications received we regret that we may not be able to respond to all applications.
