About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support across our wind and energy storage business operations in Africa, the Middle East, and emerging Eastern European markets. This senior-level role will play a critical part in enabling our global expansion and supporting the growth of our renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple international stakeholders and provide business-aligned legal guidance under pressure.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements with cross-border implications.
- Draft, review, and advise on EPC/IPP contracts, joint ventures, and other large-scale project agreements.
- Conduct legal due diligence on investments and partnerships.
- Collaborate with our operations team to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Admitted attorney/advocate/solicitor with 7+ years post-qualification experience, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering, power, or large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience in cross-border transactions, EPC/IPP contracts, joint ventures, and complex commercial agreements.
- Strong working knowledge of legal frameworks in Africa and/or the Middle East.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Masters degree or international legal qualification is a strong advantage.
