About the Role

The Wits Health Consortium is seeking a highly skilled and organized Research Assistant to join their team at Bara Cardiology, Chris Hani Baragwanath New Nurses Home in Soweto. As a key member of the research team, you will provide overall research and administration support to help with organizational research functions and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with data collection, managing correspondence, and maintaining regulatory records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and editing of research documents (including reports, articles, presentations, and source documents)
  • Facilitate and participate in project meetings
  • Prepare materials for submission to agencies and foundations that fund research
  • Manage and reply to project-related correspondence
  • Schedule study activities
  • Perform routine clerical duties
  • Assist with study-related tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Completed BSc degree
  • [Must be completed] MSc or studying towards an MSc is highly recommendable
  • 1 year experience in Scientific Research
  • Strong organizational skills
