About the Role

Are you a numbers-driven problem solver who actually enjoys digging into the details others avoid? Our client, a leading manufacturer of wiring harnesses for the automotive sector, is looking for a qualified CIMA Cost Accountant with at least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience. This role needs that kind of brain.

Key Responsibilities

Full costing process: standard costing, variance analysis, product costing
Monitoring and improving cost controls across manufacturing
Analysis of material, labour, and overhead costs
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and margin improvement
Working closely with production to understand operational drivers
Providing clear, data-grounded recommendations to management

Requirements

CIMA qualification (completed)
5 years of manufacturing experience — non-negotiable
Strong understanding of production environments and cost drivers
A practical thinker who can challenge assumptions and back recommendations with solid data
The confidence to work closely with operations and finance teams
