Stellenbosch: CAD Designer (CH1191)

Our Belgian client, a rapidly growing provider of pallet racking and shelving systems as well as robotics-driven warehouse automation and storage solutions, is looking to appoint a CAD Designer to work remotely from their Stellenbosch office. The CAD Designer / Draftsmen improves the efficiency and quality of draft work through training and development of CAD tools and drafting standards, in accordance with the group QHSE standards. Produces drawings in an efficient and qualitative manner to demonstrate the technical feasibility of a project or to support the design within the proposed time frame. Also Supporting sales with conceptual layouts is part of the job. What do we expect from you? Tasks and Responsibilities Studies and analyses drawings, sketches and/or other relevant information provided by internal stakeholders. Reports missing information, issues and/or proposes other possible solutions to the internal stakeholder, in order to efficiently produce drawings. Consults equipment documentation and measures equipment if required, in order to ensure the correct use and optimized configuration of the assigned equipment. Produces project and equipment drawings using CAD software while following the company’s drawing standards. Converts equipment construction drawings into proper blocks for project drawings. Liaises with other engineering team members in order to improve the quality, efficiency and correctness of the drawings. Performs measurements and produces drawings on site, in mutual agreement. Administration and Other Ensures the project information and drawings are properly stored according to the engineering guidelines. Follows the correct approval flow according to the engineering guidelines. Registers the own working hours. QSHE & Compliance Responsible for motivating/ensuring everyone works safely and according to the company’s QSHE standards to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way. Complies with the attitude of Lean and continuous improvements in the organization. Responsible for ensuring that all executed activities and processes are in compliance with the company’s QSHE standards, policies, instructions, and local legislation. Training and Development Shares technical knowledge with engineering team members. Organizes and gives trainings. Participates in trainings Participates in the development of CAD software Maintains and improves relevant technical knowledge and skills. Wanted experience 3 years of experience Qualifications & Skills You have a technical Bachelors’s degree or equal by experience You can work with AutoCAD, Inventor and Office365 You are a teamplayer and dynamic You take initiative and you work in a structured and precise way What do we offer you?
