About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented young chef to join our award-winning estate restaurant in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our brigade, you will be responsible for creating inspiring selections of beautifully plated tasting menus under the guidance of our acclaimed SA Top Chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visually stunning plating components for hot and cold kitchen dishes
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and ensure seamless service delivery
- Collaborate with other chefs to create innovative menu items and develop new dishes
- Manage sections completely and introduce weekly menu items as required
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years industry work experience within Fine Dining / Top 10 Eat Out level establishments
- Recognized professional/classical/formal culinary qualification
- Culinary strengths in Hot & Cold Kitchen with experience in plating of multiple components
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
- Ability to adapt to working off different menus on a weekly basis
