Role: Garden and Estate Operations Facilitator Location: Stellenbosch – (On-site Accommodation Provided)
Salary:
TBC Key Responsibilities : Oversee the maintenance and management of the gardens, historical buildings, and cottages in line with heritage regulations. Lead and collaborate with a team, ensuring tasks are executed with precision and attention to detail. Proactively identify and address operational challenges, ensuring long-term sustainability. Manage tenant relations for permanent residents in the cottages, including contracts and maintenance. Develop and implement operational plans, ensuring they are followed through with the correct materials and procedures. Foster a professional relationship with the owner, understanding their high standards and commitment to excellence. Uphold the vision and mission of the estate, prioritizing quality over profit. What Were Looking For : A senior leader with significant experience in operations management or a similar role. Someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and can lead by example. A professional who values attention to detail and has excellent planning and execution skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently. Proficiency in Afrikaans and English. Resilience and the ability to handle conflict professionally. A candidate who understands this is not a profit-driven role and aligns with the vision of maintaining and preserving the estate. Willingness to reside on-site in a cottage suitable for a couple or small family. What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate will seamlessly manage operations, ensuring the estate runs smoothly while preserving its heritage and upholding the owners vision. Success will be measured not by financial targets but by operational excellence, adherence to standards, and the overall integrity of the property.
