Job Summary

IT Risk Manager Location: Stellenbosch Property Type: Luxury Wine Estate Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Risk Manager to join a luxury wine estate based in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring IT infrastructure and systems are secure, resilient, and operating at optimal performance levels. <h3>Main Responsibilities & Duties: </h3><ul><li>Conduct monthly vulnerability scans on all IT infrastructure equipment and resolve any identified issues </li><li>Propose and implement upgrades when equipment becomes vulnerable </li><li>Ensure Office 365 Cloud Services are secured against threats with appropriate security measures in place </li><li>Manage antivirus and cyber security software across servers and user devices </li><li>Implement penetration testing and decoy systems </li><li>Set up, monitor, and manage a SIEM system to detect potential risks </li><li>Configure and maintain firewalls (Checkpoint) and malware protection software (ESET Remote Administrator) </li><li>Manage and maintain servers (VMware), domain controllers (Microsoft Active Directory 2019), point of sale systems (EasiPos), accounting software servers (Sage Evolution), biometrics access control systems, fibre internet lines, backup Wi-Fi links, and other processes </li><li>Assist the Senior IT Systems Administrator with daily tasks </li><li>Liaise with third-party cyber security service providers </li></ul><h3>Secondary Responsibilities: </h3><ul><li>Install, configure, and provide technical support for hardware and software </li><li>Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems </li><li>Monitor systems daily and respond promptly to security or usability concerns </li><li>Create and verify backups of servers (Acronis Cyber Cloud) </li><li>Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security </li><li>Set up accounts and workstations for new staff members </li><li>Troubleshoot system issues and outages </li><li>Manage Wi-Fi connections, ensuring 100% uptime for clients and users (Unifi Controller) </li><li>Maintain and manage the cloud-based phone system (3CX) </li><li>Administer and maintain Office 365 accounts for all staff </li></ul><h3>Requirements: </h3><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering </li><li>710 years experience in Cyber Threat or IT Risk Management (preferred) </li><li>Applicable Microsoft certifications </li><li>Strong knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management </li><li>Excellent understanding of VPNs </li><li>Expertise in Office 365 Cloud Services, Ubiquity APs, HP Aruba switches and VLAN, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, and Active Directory administration (users, groups, policies, DNS, DHCP, organisational units) </li><li>Familiarity with fibre connections and network topologies </li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Ability to take ownership, work independently, and perform under pressure </li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks </li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels</li></ul>
