About the Role
Hospitality and Outdoor Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Receptionist to join our team at our Luxury Hotel in Stellenbosch. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring their stay with us is unforgettable. With your excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask, we are confident that you will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all welcome letters, registration cards and other arrival and departure documentation.
- Greet all guests on arrival, providing a warm welcome and assist with check-in and check-out processes ensuring a seamless experience.
- Handle all guest inquiries, concerns and requests promptly and efficiently.
- Manage hotel reservations including processing bookings, modifying or canceling reservations ensuring accuracy of all information.
- Respond to reservation inquiries via phone, email or walk ins, providing relevant information.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth check-in and checkout processes and monitor room availability, room types and rates.
- Telephonic Operations – manage incoming calls providing assistance and information in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Tasks – maintain guest records, process invoices and handle cash transactions.
Requirements
- Matric and additional certification in hospitality or related field advantageous.
- Must have previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Must have Protel or Opera experience (essential).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with guests and team members effectively.

Salary – R 7 000 – R 8 000 pm neg DOE
