Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Receptionist Luxury Hotel – Stellenbosch Requirements · Matric and additional certification in hospitality or related field advantageous · Must have previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry · Must have Protel or Opera experience (essential) · Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor · Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with guests and team members effectively · Multitasking abilities with the capacity to handle various tasks simultaneously · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations · Flexibility to work late and night shifts, including weekends and holidays · Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options advantageous · Presentable and well groomed · Should live in the surrounding area Responsibilities · Guest Services – prepare all welcome letters, registration cards and other arrival and departure documentation · To greet all guests on arrival, providing a warm welcome and assist with check-in and check-out processes ensuring a seamless experience · Handle all guest inquiries, concerns and requests promptly and efficiently · Reservation Management – handle reservations efficiently and accurately ensuring correct data entry and good organization · Manage hotel reservations including processing bookings, modifying or canceling reservations ensuring accuracy of all information · Respond to reservation inquiries via phone, email or walk ins, providing relevant information · Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth check-in and checkout processes and monitor room availability, room types and rates · Telephonic Operations – manage incoming calls providing assistance and information in a professional and courteous manner · Administrative Tasks – maintain guest records, process invoices and handle cash transactions · Ensure pit checks are complete on each shift – capturing guest details as captured from guest registration cards · Complete daily handovers between shifts · Be informed of local attractions · Keep reception area clean, organized and presentable always · Assist with inventory and report any maintenance issues Package on offer · Salary – R 7 000 – R 8 000 pm neg DOE · Live out Start date: ASAP
