Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Wine Lounge Tutor to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences through wine tastings, cellar tours, and knowledgeable engagement.
Responsibilities:

Set up and prepare the tasting area for guests
-
Present guided wine tastings and conduct cellar tours
-
Ensure correct presentation, quality, and temperature of all drinks
-
Process wine orders through designated platforms (Capreo, Cape Ardor, Aspiring Logistics)
-
Monitor stock levels, manage collection, and restocking of wine and equipment
-
Minimise losses through breakage, waste, theft, or incorrect orders, and accurately record any losses
-
Maintain strict tasting and portion control
-
Conduct daily stock-takes of wine and beverages, completing stock movement sheets
-
Promote and process sales in line with estate standards
-
Adhere to the Liquor Act (No. 59 of 2003) and any other relevant regulations regarding the sale of alcohol
Requirements:
-
Grade 12 certificate
-
Own reliable transport
-
12 years of wine tutoring experience (preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of wines and the ability to communicate this effectively to guests
-
Genuine passion for wine and the hospitality industry
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact confidently with distinguished clientele
-
Professional, well-presented appearance
-
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays
-
Ability to work under pressure with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
