Strand: Maintenance Supervisor (Facilities) posted by Merand Corbett & Associates

• Supervise, coordinate, and support a multi-disciplinary maintenance team (electricians, plumbers, painters, and handymen).
• Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across all sites.
• Communicate progress and updates to management, residents, contractors, and service providers.
• Monitor and inspect work delivered by the team and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Manage scheduling, standby duties, and daily team meetings.
• Contribute to maintenance planning, budgeting, and stock control.

Requirements:

• Trade qualification (NQF6) or equivalent (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and safe working practices.
• Effective communication skills in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Computer literacy (MS Office; ability to learn internal maintenance systems).
• Physically fit and able to move easily across multiple sites.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
