Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Field Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for Turck Banner products in Southern Africa.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring hardware/software, and ensuring optimal performance of specified equipment.  This role requires frequent travel to client locations and the ability to work independently in fast
paced environments.
 
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Turck Banner equipment and services to customers.
Conduct regular site visits to offer customer support, perform equipment demonstrations, and train customers and system integrators on the correct use of equipment.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Turck Banner products.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Assist with demonstration requirements for Turck Banner products.
Maintain detailed records of service activities and customer interactions.
Manage and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and product developments.
 
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics (or related equivalent experience)
At least 2-3 years of experience in technical support or service engineering.
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Valid driver’s license.
