About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior Head Guide to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality. Based in a private game reserve in the Limpopo area, we offer an opportunity to live and work in one of South Africa’s most stunning wilderness areas. As Senior Head Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, conservation, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the safari guiding team
- Conduct guided game drives and bush walks
- Ensure compliance with FGASA, reserve, and safety protocols
- Oversee guide training, assessments, and ongoing development
- Manage safari operations, including vehicles, guiding equipment, and standards
- Work closely with lodge management and conservation teams
- Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and interpretive guiding excellence
Requirements
- FGASA Professional Field Guide (NQF Level 3 or higher)
- Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)
- Trails Guide qualification (VPDA)
- Valid First Aid (Level 2 minimum)
- Valid PrDP
- Minimum of 5 years’ guiding experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation
Qualifications
- FGASA Professional Field Guide certification
- Advanced Rifle Handling certification
- Trails Guide qualification
