About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to join our client’s team in Vanderbijlpark. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Maintenance Strategies, Procedures, and Methods to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Plan and schedule equipment maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to ensure minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to schedule equipment maintenance and prioritize resources.
• Prepare Maintenance schedules and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify maintenance requirements and coordinate with vendors to procure necessary equipment and spare parts.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, ensuring that all maintenance reports and documentation are up-to-date.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify areas of improvement.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained according to industry standards and regulations, as well as the company’s policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
• Manage and train a team of Maintenance Artisans to ensure they are skilled and equipped to carry out maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Grade 12/N3 Technical mechanical and electrical studies

• At least 10 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment

• At least 5 years of experience as Maintenance Supervisor of Artisans

• Strong hydraulic and Pneumatic systems background

• Experience working on Molding machines, CNC Machines, Induction Furnaces, and cooling water system

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize task effectively

• Familiarity with Maintenance Management software and systems
