Junior Accountant
Location: Vereeniging

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Accountant to join their Finance Department. This position reports directly to the Financial Manager and plays a key role in supporting the companys financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank account reconciliations and cashbook administration
- Process and administer sundry sales transactions
- Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
- Compile and calculate income tax schedules
- Administer and submit VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax returns and reconciliations to SARS
- Reconcile salaries and wages and process monthly payroll payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Monitor financial performance and analyse budget and forecast variances
- Process and reconcile inter-company transactions
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related Finance field
- National Senior Certificate
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar accounting role
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivots, Spreadsheets)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
