Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Assistant Meetings & Events Manager Luxury Lodge – Waterberg, Limpopo A luxury lodge is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Assistant Meetings & Events Manager to support the full group reservations and event planning process. The ideal candidate should have strong operational experience (including weddings), excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate complex itineraries while ensuring seamless five-star guest experiences. Requirements: · 2 years’ experience in groups/events management in a luxury lodge or hotel · Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail · Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines · Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) · OPERA PMS experience highly advantageous · Professional, calm and solutions-driven approach · Strong coordination ability across multiple departments · Hospitality, Tourism or Events Planning qualification preferred · Experience in a game reserve/remote lodge environment beneficial Responsibilities: · Manage all group enquiries and communication via email · Prepare event quotes and maintain accurate documentation and filing · Handle OPERA reservations, room blocks, allocations and billing · Coordinate invoicing and ensure accurate financial reconciliation post-event · Plan group arrivals, departures, rooming lists and create detailed function sheets · Support the Sales team with rates, packages and proposals · Assist with site inspections and act as secondary point of contact for organisers · Build strong relationships with agents, corporates and tour operators · Provide excellent pre-arrival communication and support · Occasionally assist lodge operations to ensure smooth event delivery Package on Offer: · R18 000 – R20 000pm (dependent on experience) · Live-in position Start Date: ASAP
