About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading beverage manufacturing company with multiple production facilities in Gauteng. They are known for their high-quality products and commitment to sustainability, and are currently seeking an experienced Internal Logistics Team Leader to join their team as part of their expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of logistics coordinators.
  • Set clear performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Analyze current internal logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the flow of materials and products.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee the inventory control processes, including stock accuracy, cycle counting, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management.
  • Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and purchasing departments to ensure smooth material flow and on-time deliveries.
  • Monitor and track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Coordinate with external logistics providers to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified issues promptly.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure proper training of the team.

Requirements

  • Must be available to start immediately
  • Willing to work on a Temporary basis
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing a team of logistics coordinators.
  • Strong knowledge of internal logistics processes, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.
  • Proactive and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as required.
