About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to join our luxury horseback safari lodge in the Waterberg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, memorable dining experiences tailored to an international clientele. With a focus on niche equestrian experiences, we require a chef who can plan, prepare, and present exquisite meals that exceed our guests’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan; prepare, and present high-quality meals for international guests, ensuring exceptional standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene
Manage all kitchen operations, including menu development, stock control, ordering, and cost management
Lead; train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards and efficiency
Adapt menus to cater to international dietary requirements and preferences
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and lodge operations to enhance guest experiences

Requirements

Proven experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in a luxury or safari lodge environment
Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills
Creative and flexible approach to menu planning and guest service
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team
Experience in catering for international clients is highly advantageous

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Executive Chef (preferred)
