Job Description
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all lodge operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Manage a small, multi-skilled team, actively participating in day-to-day operations where required.
- Oversee financial management, including budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain the lodge’s reputation for 5-star service standards across all departments.
- Handle multiple operational “hats,” including guest relations, staff supervision, and administrative duties.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all guest and operational touchpoints.
- If one partner has guiding qualifications, assist with guiding operations to enhance guest experiences.
Core Criteria:
- Proven General Management experience in 5-star environments.
- Experience managing small teams in a hands-on environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple responsibilities across different operational areas.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally, one member of the couple holds guiding qualifications and relevant field experience.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, nature, and conservation is essential.
