Job Summary
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in technical sales within the industrial automation sector
- Strong knowledge of sensors, industrial networking, PLCs, and fieldbus systems
- Must be based in or near Cape Town with a suitable home office setup
- Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license for client visits when needed
- Must be a self-starter capable of working independently and managing remote relationships effectively
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Provide technical consultation and automation solutions to customers across manufacturing and industrial sectors
- Build and maintain customer relationships across the Western Cape region
- Conduct virtual and on-site product demos, system evaluations, and presentations
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in line with company targets
- Prepare quotes, technical documentation, and sales proposals
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and post-sales support
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and customer challenges
