About the Company
A dynamic and fast-growing property development business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The company specialises in residential, retail, and industrial developments across the Western Cape and is passionate about driving innovation within the property sector.
The Role
The Bookkeeper will play an essential role in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple entities within the group. You will manage day-to-day financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including debtor, creditor, and banking administration
- Manage weekly invoicing, supplier payments, and monthly management accounts with full reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and annual cash flow statements and monitor daily cash movement
- Serve as a key contact for internal and external financial queries
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
- 5–10 years’ experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis (preferably across multiple entities)
- Proficiency in Xero and other financial management tools
- Strong reconciliation skills and experience preparing tax returns
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and auditing standards
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team
