Job Description

A leading Assurance company is seeking a Business Developer to joint their team. This role entails developing strategic business development plans, coordinating with internal teams to address customer needs and wants, and aiming to improve customer satisfaction and enhance our company’s market presence. The New Business Developer primarily focuses on identifying potential clients, presenting them with suitable funeral product under subcategory A proposals and confirming sales. Eligible to sell Health, Credit Life, Voluntary and Involuntary Group Schemes and Funeral products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, products, and distribution channels that will lead to sales
    growth.
  • Understand the market trends and customer needs to define personalized approaches.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • Maintain accountability for business outcomes, ensuring adherence to governance and risk
    management standards as per expectations and guidelines
  • Meet set sales target.


Requirements:

  • RE5
  • Longterm Insurance experience
  • Extensive group scheme experience
  • Proven experience as an Insurance Business Development Manager or similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office and business software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong strategic and business mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing

Additional Requirements
Familiarity with the insurance industry.

At least 8 years in the insurance industry

Ability to travel for client meetings.

Attention to detail.

Proven sales and marketing skills
