Job Summary
- Qualifications: Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer in South Africa (Notary qualification advantageous)
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years post-admission experience in conveyancing
- Client Base: Must have an established and active client base
- Skills & Attributes: Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing and property law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail
- Client-centric, professional, and results-driven
- Proven ability to generate and sustain business
- Other Requirements: Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
DUTIES
- Handle the full spectrum of conveyancing matters, including property transfers, mortgage bonds, cancellations, and related transactions
- Draft, review, and manage conveyancing documentation in compliance with legal requirements
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, banks, and other stakeholders throughout the conveyancing process
- Manage client relationships and build on an existing client base to contribute to firm growth
- Ensure all matters are managed efficiently, within deadlines, and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, if required
- Family law experience advantageous
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
