Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • To sift all disciplinary cases at sources and allocate cases as per the company disciplinary code.
  • To manage and monitor work output of company representatives as per case priorities.
  • To deal with and issue final written warnings related to all category C cases of the company disciplinary code.
  • To ratify suspensions with pay in liaison with HR Manager and Legal Advisor.
  • To solicit all required documentation in respect of cases.
  • To set dates with Presiding Officers and furnish same with all required documentation.
  • To officially summon and ensure attendance of all witnesses.
  • To ensure all cases are finalized within the determined timeframes.
  • To notify and caution line management of delays.
  • To maintain a record of cases progress and outcomes.
  • To report unnecessary delays to appropriate line management 

Requirements:

  • Appropriate HR Tertiary Qualification.
  • Ideally 2 years minimum experience in a similar or related role.
  • Previous experience in a unionised environment and who has experience in conducting investigations.
  • Needs a good background in plea-bargaining and the appeal procedure.
