Minimum Requirements: Electrical Certificate South African Minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding Valid Drivers License Must reside in the Southern Suburbs Sound knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations (SANS 10142 or equivalent) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team The successful candidate will complete 3 months probation and thereafter be on a 12-month contract Key Duties and Responsibilities: Electrical Installations: Install, test, and commission new electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, panels, and components. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with national electrical codes and company safety policies. Perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices at all times. Testing and Certification: Carry out electrical testing, fault-finding, and issue compliance certificates where applicable. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked. Report defects, incidents, or potential hazards to management. Customer Service: Communicate professionally with clients, providing technical advice where necessary. Ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction on all projects. Teamwork and Support: Collaborate with project teams, apprentices, and supervisors to complete work efficiently. Mentor junior staff or apprentices when required.
