Western Cape: Electrical Design Engineer (Motion Control Specialist) posted by Communicate Finance

• Designing detailed electrical circuits in line with industry and company standards 
• Developing PLC automation programs based on machine requirements 
• Performing electrical testing and commissioning of equipment on-site 
• Updating and maintaining technical documentation to “as-built” specifications 
• Providing technical support across build processes, customers, imported machinery, and on-site technicians 
• Travelling to local and international clients for commissioning and support 

 
Skills & Experience:  

• Minimum 3–5 years in PLC automation + commissioning 
• Strong Siemens TIA Portal programming (required) 
• Advantage: CODESYS, Allen Bradley, Delta, B&R 
• Minimum 1–2 years electrical circuit design (E-Plan ideal) 
• Strong communication, problem-solving & attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently and travel when needed 
•  

Qualification: 

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering (B-Eng/B-Tech preferred)) 
• High computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
