About the Role
Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Shared Services Manager to join our team in the Western Cape. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, evaluating and enhancing financial systems, processes, and policies to improve efficiency and accuracy, and proposing and implementing automation initiatives. You will also oversee integration between the Project Accounting system and ERP system, developing and implementing standardized processes to ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and policies to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Propose and implement automation initiatives
- Maintain strong understanding of financial systems architecture and integration points with operational and reporting processes
- Oversee and maintain integration between the Project Accounting system and ERP system, ensuring data flows correctly across platforms
- Develop and implement standardized processes to ensure compliance
- Ensure all consulting and product fees are billed accurately
- Oversee third-party and internal sales commission payment
- Review timesheets and expense reports
- Assist the financial control team with external audit requests
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance or a related field
- Advanced Systems Implementation experience (advantageous)
- Possess knowledge in Information and IT Systems
- Strong ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
- Proficient understanding of USA GAAP and IFRS
- Understanding of ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced written and spoken communication skills in English
Qualifications
- BCom in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (or similar)
