Western Cape: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer posted by Communicate Finance

• Develop efficient designs that prioritize simplicity, feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and accuracy
• Prepare assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings in line with recognized industry standards
• Create part specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), production orders, and manuals
• Implement Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) within existing designs
• Issue revisions and updates to manufacturing drawings, material lists, and equipment manuals
• Produce layout drawings for customer manufacturing facilities
• Draft Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Provide technical support during manufacturing processes and assist technicians on site

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 0-2 years of experience in machine design and manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and 2D CAD.
• Demonstrated competence in 3D CAD for machine design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
• Must be positive, self-motivated, and dependable.

Qualification:

• BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
