Job Description
Ensuring accurate payroll processing and timely employee payments
Ensure compliance with payroll-related legislation, including employee tax, benefits, earnings, and deductions
Maintain accurate payroll records and statutory reporting
Reconcile payroll accounts, resolve discrepancies, support payroll and benefits audits
Collaborate closely with the Employee Benefits Department to maintain accurate employee data
Drive process and system improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
Oversee the financial impact of share incentive schemes, manage dividend statements, support budgeting and forecasting across regions
Assist with broader accounting and finance functions as required
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of four years’ relevant experience with at least three years in accounting focused on payroll and accounts payable
Minimum of two years’ experience leading and managing a team with full KPI responsibility
In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, payroll accounting principles, and South African payroll and tax legislation, with exposure to multi-country payroll environments
Proven proficiency in payroll software such as Oracle, strong Microsoft Excel skills
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and accounting practices relevant to South Africa and other African regions
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
