About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tractor Technician to join our team at Network Finance in the Western Cape. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our tractors, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing expert guidance to customers on how to operate their equipment safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electronical and mechanical diagnostic tests on tractors to identify faults and issues.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, filters, and belts, lubricating parts, and adjusting engine components.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and the maintenance required on equipment.
- Provide recommendations for regular maintenance and inspections to prevent future breakdowns.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in tractor repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent qualification
