COST / MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Our client focusses on the cultivation, packing and exporting of table grapes and citrus and has a vacancy for a Cost / Management Accountant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for accurate costing for farming and packing operations
• Perform cost analysis and reporting for farming and packing operations
• Monitor and analyse inventory variances, production inefficiencies and wastage
• Product costing and inventory reporting and maintenance
• Management of inventory
• Collaborate with the production and finance teams to develop and implement cost control measures
• Support the budgeting process and financial planning
• Daily and weekly productivity reporting
• Assist with implementation of new systems
• General support to the financial manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, SAIPA, SAICA) preferred.
• Proven 2 3 years experience in cost and management accounting, preferably in the agriculture or farming sector.
