Fleet Operations Manager (POS25038) Based: Kempton Park Salary : R50 55 000.00 pm

Requirements:

Bachelor`s degree or Diploma in logistics, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management in courier environment Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proven experience in budget management and cost control. Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver`s license and clean driving record. Experience in managing and training teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures. Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach. Experience in using GPS and telematics systems. Ability to handle emergency situations and make quick decisions. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Willingness to travel as required. Day to Day duties (not limited to) Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet. Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced. Manage and train drivers to ensure high performance. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations. Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures. Monitor and manage fleet budgets and expenses. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. Analyze fleet performance data and generate reports. Implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Manage vehicle acquisition and disposal processes. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of fleet activities. Conduct regular audits and inspections of fleet operations. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers. Implement and monitor GPS and telematics systems. Ensure driver safety and compliance with company policies. Coordinate emergency response and accident management. Plan and execute fleet expansion and reduction strategies. Provide regular updates to senior management on fleet performance. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
