About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our fleet’s entire lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for optimizing operations, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our diverse fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal plans.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are available, reliable, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including drivers, mechanics, and administrators, to optimize fleet performance and resolve operational issues.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement fuel management programs, monitor fuel consumption, and identify opportunities for fuel efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote safe driving practices, efficient vehicle utilization, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record in fleet management, preferably with 6 years of experience in a similar role.
