Job Summary

Requirements Minimum of 3 5 years Medical Practice experience Must have Verimark billing experience Greeting and Checking-in Patients Warmly welcome patients as they arrive. Verify patient information (name, insurance details, medical history). Check in patients for their appointments and direct them to the waiting area. Managing Phone Calls Answering phone calls in a professional and friendly manner. Scheduling or rescheduling appointments. Providing basic information to patients (e.g., office hours, procedures). Handling urgent calls and directing them to the appropriate department or healthcare professional. Appointment Scheduling Scheduling patient appointments based on the doctors availability. Sending appointment reminders (calls, emails, or texts). Rescheduling or canceling appointments as necessary. Coordinating referrals and consultations with other specialists. Patient Intake and Documentation Collecting and updating patient information, including personal, insurance, and medical history. Ensuring consent forms and other required documentation are completed. Billing and Insurance Verification Handling patient billing inquiries. Processing claims and verifying coverage. Collecting co-pays, balances, and other patient payments. Ensuring claims are correctly submitted and following up on any denied claims. Verimark experience is essential Managing Medical Records Filing and organizing patient records. Ensuring privacy and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Handling patient requests for medical records. Patient Assistance Helping patients with basic inquiries and guiding them through the office process. Assisting patients with blood pressure monitors Answering questions about the practice, medical procedures, and services offered. Handling Emails and Queries Responding to patient inquiries via email or the practices online portal. Ensuring all patient communication is handled in a timely manner. Coordination with Medical Staff Communicating with doctors, nurses, or other medical staff to relay important patient information or concerns. Alerting doctors to any issues with patient appointments or health matters. Ensuring the smooth flow of patients between waiting areas, examination rooms, and other services. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Reception Area Keeping the waiting area tidy and organized. Ensuring that necessary office supplies are stocked (forms, pens, etc.). General Customer Service Displaying professionalism, patience, and empathy toward patients. Handling complaints or conflicts calmly and respectfully, aiming to resolve them efficiently.
