Job Summary

Other duties include:
- Manage month-end accounting close processes aligned with IFRS standards.
- Prepare detailed monthly financial reports, including profit and loss and working capital analysis.
- Collaborate with corporate and operational teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Lead automation projects to streamline journal entries and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Document IFRS-compliant solutions for complex financial deals and transactions.
Education:
- Qualified CA(SA)
Job Experience & Skills required:
- Newly qualified or up to 2 years post-articles experience.
- Strong academic record and technical proficiency in IFRS.
- Eagerness to learn, use initiative, and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Interest in business operations and the ability to dig deep into complexities.
- Passion for process improvements and automation.

Job Summary
A leading global organization specializing in the sourcing, production, and marketing of essential commodities is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trade Accountant to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing and reconciling trade transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting the month-end close process. This role involves close collaboration with the trading desk to ensure accurate trade bookings and providing insights into financial performance.
Duties:
- Manage and reconcile trade transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for trading activities.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to ensure smooth and accurate trade bookings.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the month-end close process and assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
- Provide insights into financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.

- CA(SA)
- Proven experience in trade accounting, ideally within commodities or trading environments.
