Job Summary

Transport Supervisor – Gauteng Key Responsibilities Ensure Legal compliance of equipment, staff and procedures at all times. Daily scrutinizing of routes, payloads and utilization to ensure maximum productivity. Engage with staff on a regular basis, encouraging teamwork and building relationships. Investigate all incidents, accidents ensuring root cause outcomes are achieved and implementation of corrective measures, Controlling and planning of expenditure within the entire department to ensure adherence to budgets. Supervision of all distribution staff and implementing actions to rectify any non-conformances. Ensuring that all vehicles are serviced regularly, and all licencing and documentation is up to date Required Skills and Qualifications Matric or Grade 12 / NQF 4 learning ability. Degree/Diploma in logistics or transport management Fully computer literate in all Microsoft packages Experience with SAP advantageous Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in the logistics field Strong administrative skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Strong people management skills Own reliable transport with clear and valid drivers licence
