Job Summary
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with workshop staff (supervisors and controllers) and customers.
- Ensure compliance with OHSACT regulations on company and client premises, maintaining a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety devices, following standards and procedures, and adhering to legal regulations.
- Continuously enhance job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.
- Execute high-quality workmanship on material handling components and the fabrication of new parts.
- Safely and efficiently operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, welders, and other equipment.
- Perform tasks in accordance with industry standards to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification.
- Technical Qualification: Certified as a Welder, Turner, Machinist, Fitter, or Boiler Maker. Experience with forklifts or similar material handling equipment is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

- Must be physically fit, capable of lifting, moving heavy objects, and enduring long periods of standing, sitting, bending, stretching, and reaching.
- Must maintain sober habits, possess high energy levels, and be in good general health.
- Willingness to work standby shifts and overtime as required to meet industry and client demands.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Trade Test Certificate (Machinist, Welder, Fitter, Boiler Maker).
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s License (required for field service technicians).
