Job Summary
- Support and/or lead the design and analysis of tailings storage facilities (TSFs), water dams, and other mine waste containment systems
- Conduct geotechnical assessments, stability analysis, and risk evaluations
- Contribute to project planning, execution, and reporting across the full project lifecycle
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables
- Support business development initiatives and help grow the tailings practice
- Ensure adherence to local and international standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering
- 3–7 years of experience in tailings engineering or related geotechnical disciplines
- Strong understanding of dam design, construction, and monitoring principles
- Proficiency in geotechnical modelling and analysis tools (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Slide2, etc.)
- Previous consulting experience is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
