Job Summary
Responsibilities:
– Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
– Analyze and review contractor bids and proposals
– Monitor project costs and identify any variances
– Prepare and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
– Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and quality of workmanship
– Prepare progress reports for management
– Provide advice and guidance on cost management strategies
– Assist in the resolution of any disputes or claims related to costs
– Mentor junior quantity surveyors and provide training as needed
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
– 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
– Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Proficient in construction cost estimation software
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
– Professional Quantity Surveying registration is a plus

Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading construction company based in Centurion JHB, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying for construction projects in Centurion JHB and surrounding areas. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and managing a team of junior quantity surveyors. If you are a driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a challenging role with excellent growth opportunities, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a senior role
- Experience in managing and leading a team

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
