Mechanical Service & Transport Controller (Night Shift)Our client, a blue chip Logistics company based in Wadeville (East Rand) has the following permanent vacancy availableRequirements:Grade 12Must be a SA CitizenFluent in Afrikaans & EnglishController duties:Issue and monitoring of night shift orders (4-5 vehicles)Managing of night shift drivers (4-5)Overseeing wash bay orders for vehiclesUpdating customer groups on progress of loads on night shiftGeneral technical inspections and minor mechanical repairs.Must be able to work on Trucks & TrailersThis is not an office bound positionMechanical background (No official qualification required but if any, it will be an advantage) Note that we are not looking for a qualified mechanicWill be responsible for doing light mechanical duties as well as give instructions and follow up on night shift drivers that will be required to load the vehicles and give updates on customer groups during this period.Running repairs, A-services and Inspections on Trucks (Merc, Scania & DAF)Tools will be suppliedAdministrative duties:Opening job cards and issuing stock.Effective management of stock and equipment on site.Required to complete the companys POD documentation Assist the Compliance department with some of their functionsStock control minimum stock on siteMust have your own reliable transport It is a night shift position 17:00 5:00 Mon Thu & Fri 17:00 until 00:00.
